LINCOLN, Neb. (April 2, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan fell to the Storm of Simpson College, 13-6, on Tuesday night to move to 7-11 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Prairie Wolves quickly found themselves behind after a three run inning for the Storm, 0-3.
• After an inning of no action in the second, Simpson extended their lead in the third inning off of a Nebraska Wesleyan error and fielder's choice, 0-5.
• A double by Evan Kling brought in the first run for the Black and Gold in the fifth inning, 1-5.
• Nebraska Wesleyan put together a five run inning in the seventh to keep things close. The offensive surge was highlighted by two-run blast from Carter Betts with two outs, 6-9.
• A home run by Simpson College in the ninth inning cemented the win for the Storm with a final score of 6-13.
• The Prairie Wolves used a committee on the mound Tuesday night. Bobby Simmons, Theo Hughes, Dominic Sis, Robbie Ross and Trevor Storer all saw action for the Black and Gold. Simmons was handed the loss.
