LINCOLN, Neb. (March 29, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan fell 7-6, to Central College on Friday afternoon. With the loss, Nebraska Wesleyan falls to 7-8 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Central took the lead early going up 1-0 in the top of the first. Brady Bell tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the inning.
• Central took a 4-1 lead by scoring one run in the fourth, and two in the fifth.
• Nebraska Wesleyan responded in the sixth by scoring three runs. A Brady Bell RBI single scored Duncan Ortega to make the score 4-2. A Carter Betts RBI scored Evan Kling later in the inning. Brayden Harvey scored Brady Bell to tie the game. 
• A seventh inning Carter Betts sacrifice fly gave Nebraska Wesleyan its first lead of the game. 
• Central retook the lead with three runs in the top of the eighth. Nebraska Wesleyan responded with an RBI single from Jake Gerardis.
• Nebraska Wesleyan was unable to score in the ninth and Central took game one of the series.
