Box Score Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team stormed into Indianola, Iowa, on Wednesday evening, and picked up a 77-65 win over Simpson College.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first ten minutes of the first half were very back and forth with the lead changing hands on almost every possession.
- A Peter Lash layup put Nebraska Wesleyan up by 26-22 with just over six minutes to go in the first half, however Simpson responded with a 6-0 run of their own to retake the lead.
- Two free throws from Conner Brown tied the game at 28 and kicked off a 10-0 Nebraska Wesleyan run to close the half. The halftime score was 36-28.
- Simpson continued to fight early in the second half, but timely shots from the Prairie Wolves kept the Storm at arms length.
- Following a Simpson three that cut the lead to six, Nebraska Wesleyan delivered the knock out blow, going on a 15-5 run to balloon the lead to 16 points.
- While Simpson continued to slice into the deficit, The Prairie Wolves continued to play gritty and secured a crucial 12 point road victory.
