ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan enters the week looking for their first win of the season, with a record of (0-8, 0-1 A-R-C). The Prairie Wolves are determined to bounce back after a hard-fought contest against Luther in their last game.
Through eight games, the Prairie Wolves have shown promise, averaging 53.6 points per game while displaying grit and determination on the defensive end. The Black and Gold are working to improve their shooting consistency, currently at 34.6% from the field and 25.4% from beyond the arc. At the free-throw line, NWU has converted 65.7% of their attempts.

HEAD COACH JIM WIEDIE
Jim Wiedie is in his first season as head coach in 2024. He holds an 0-8 record as the head coach at NWU. Wiedie brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Wiedie has amassed an overall coaching record of 311-226 across 19 years as a head coach at the NCAA Division I and II levels. Known for his strong player development, Wiedie will look to instill a winning culture at Nebraska Wesleyan.
Before joining the Prairie Wolves, Wiedie served as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha, focusing on recruiting and player development. He also holds the distinction of being the all-time winningest coach at both the University of Findlay during their Division II era and Indiana State University, leading those programs to new heights.
NEWCOMERS LEADING THE WAY
Nebraska Wesleyan brought in a talented recruiting class that is paying dividends in 2024-25. The Prairie Wolves leading scorer, Jada Smith, is a freshman, who averages 12 points per game on a 41.8% shooting clip. Smith has also been effective on defense as she is tied for the team lead in blocks, with junior Carney Black who is also in her first year with the program. Black also leads the team in rebounding where she averages 6.6 rebounds per game. Freshman Maddie Demke leads the team in assists and steals, while Brynn Sebek averages the most minutes per game of anyone on the NWU roster.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
Dubuque enters Saturday afternoon with a record of (1-6, 0-2 A-R-C). The Spartans score an average of 59 points per game, and allow an average of 69.9 points per game. Dubuque holds a shooting percentage of 38.2, with a 26.5 mark from three. The Spartans shoot a respectable 66.3% from the free throw line. The Spartans are led by coach Justin Smith, in his fifth season.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE
