LINCOLN, Neb. (November 29th, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball was dealt a 64-58 loss by Pacific Lutheran University on Friday afternoon. The loss drops NWU to 0-5 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Nebraska Wesleyan raced out to an 18-12 lead after one quarter of play. The Prairie Wolves were fueled by eight points from junior forward
Carney Black. The Black and Gold shot a scorching 53.84% from the field. However, Pacific Lutheran responded by outscoring NWU 38-26 in the second and third quarter. The Prairie Wolves shot a combined 34.62% from the floor during the middle section of the game. Trailing 50-44, Nebraska Wesleyan used a quick 6-0 run to tie the game at 50 with just over seven minutes to play. However, the Lutes answered with a 14-8 run to secure a 64-58 win.Â
