LINCOLN, Neb. (October 15, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer faced a tough challenge against undefeated Simpson College, falling 3-0 at Abel Stadium. The Prairie Wolves now stand at 5-8-2 overall and 0-3-2 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play, while Simpson improved to 10-0-3 overall and 4-0 in conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Simpson opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Despite Nebraska Wesleyan's efforts to equalize, Simpson doubled their lead in the second half as they scored in the 57th minute. Simpson added a third for the Storm in the 68th minute to secure the win.
Nebraska Wesleyan had seven total shots, with Faith Forehand and Emma Parker both testing the Simpson goalkeeper. However, NWU struggled to break through a solid Simpson defense, which limited the Prairie Wolves to just two shots on goal.
