Women's Soccer Ties with Coe, 2-2

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 12th, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan fought Coe to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon. The Prairie Wolves are now 5-7-2 overall, and 0-2-2 in American Rivers Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nebraska Wesleyan's offense was rolling early, taking six of the first seven shots in the match. Howevew, Coe would nullify the hot Nebraska Wesleyan start with a goal in the 31st minute. The Prairie Wolves would take three more shots in the half, but none managed to find the back of the net. After taking two shots to early in the second half, Nebraska Wesleyan finally broke through on 65th minute goal from Bella Slaydon. Nebraska Wesleyan would take a 2-1 lead less than five minutes later on a 69th minute Averie Hike goal. The Prairie Wolves continued to press the Kohawk defense taking three more shots before the 80th minute. However Coe scored a goal in the 86th minute to tie the match up. That score would hold as the match ended in a 2-2 tie.
