Second Half Struggles Cost Women's Basketball Against Simpson

Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to 0-9 following a 94-48 loss to Simpson College in Snyder Arena on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Senior Brianna Denton led the charge for the Prairie Wolves on a cold night in Lincoln, Nebraska. Denton tallied 9 points and 5 rebounds against the Storm defense.
  • Scoring came in a variety of ways for the Black and Gold as 9 different Prairie Wolves were able to get in to the scorer's column.
  • After trailing 36-23 with just over three minutes to play in the first half, Coach Tyler Bullock's team went on a 11-0 run to end the first half. 
  • The Prairie Wolves' defense was able to hold the Storm's season leading scorer to just four points on the contest. 
  • The rest of the Storm offense took off in the second half shooting over 58% from the field, and beating the Prairie Wolves 94-48.
