HOW IT HAPPENED    

• The Prairie Wolves started the new year with a 97-62 win over the Storm of Simpson College.
• Dale Wellman's squad quickly established their offensive dominance, beginning with a three-pointer and layup from Conner Brown, securing the early 5-0 lead.
• Simpson's offense struggled to find momentum in the early minutes of the game, allowing NWU to establish a 14-0 lead four minutes into the first half. 
• A three-pointer from Amun-Ra Collins extended the Prairie Wolves' lead to 38-17 with 4:34 remaining.
• Conner Brown continued to contribute crucial points for the Black and Gold, concluding the first half with a buzzer-beating layup that propelled NWU to a 49-24 halftime lead.
• The P-Wolves limited the Storm to shooting just 32.1% from the field and out-rebounded them 23-12 in the first half.
• The Black and Gold maintained their aggressive defensive play in the second half, causing the Storm to commit nine turnovers and securing six steals.
• Jared Townsley converted on a three-pointer with 9:11 remaining in the second half; his three-pointer restored the P-Wolves' advantage to 75-49. 
• With a substantial lead, NWU went deep into their rotation and played all 18 active student-athletes. Nebraska Wesleyan's bench outscored Simpson's bench 31-25.
• A jumper from Kason Simpson capped off NWU's victory over the Storm 97-62, improving their record to 11-2 and 2-2 in conference play.
• Nebraska Wesleyan has now won the last six matchups against Simpson College.
