Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to 0-11 on the season after suffering a 71-37 loss to the Central Dutch on Wednesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Central came out on fire from beyond the arc as the Dutch made five of eight three point attempts in the first quarter. At one point the Dutch had built a 17-6 lead, but Nebraska Wesleyan would not go away and outscored Central six to one during the remainder of the quarter. The Prairie Wolves shot 40% from the floor during the first quarter and the offense was highlighted by Brianna Denton's six points. Central led 18-12 after one quarter of play.
- Central continued to shoot well from beyond the arc in the second quarter and locked down defensively to open the game up. Central made four of seven three point attempts and scored 21 points while holding Nebraska Wesleyan to just five points on an 11.8 shooting percentage. The Dutch led 38-17 at halftime.
- Central continued to pull away in the third quarter, outscoring Nebraska Wesleyan 18-8.
- Nebraska Wesleyan fought hard in the fourth, scoring 12 points to Central's 14, while out rebounding the Dutch.
