HOW IT HAPPENED

Monmouth

• The volleyball team from Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Monmouth in straight sets in the North Central Invitational's opening game. The team's hitting percentage of .323 is the second-highest of the season. 
• In sets one and three, the Scots had an early lead, but the Prairie Wolves were able to take control in both instances. In the second set, Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to a quick 16-3 lead and never looked back, taking it 25-11.
• With 15 kills, junior Addie Thomas led the Prairie Wolves, while Aliah Clarke led the defense with two total blocks. 
• Kennady Klein, a fifth-year libero, recorded 16 digs overall throughout her time on the court. Elecea Saathoff, a freshman setter, recorded 36 assists.

North Central

• The Prairie Wolves dropped their second game to a one-loss North Central team on day one of the North Central Invitational. 
• With seven kills, Addie Thomas led NWU, and Molly Ramirez added seven more on a .150 hitting percentage.
• North Central led 8-3 early in the first set. The Cardinals never looked back winning the set 25-13. With three kills, Addie Thomas led NWU in the opening set.
• The second set started tighter featuring early ties of 5-5 and 8-8. The frame in total had eight same score lines. North Central ran away with it in the middle of the set winning 25-18
• The Cardinals kept their foot on the gas winning the final set 25-19.
