Women's Soccer Holds Steady to Tie with Luther

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first period remained scoreless as both teams failed to make a goal, despite there being five shots and six corner kicks between the two teams. 
  • In the second period, the Prairie Wolves were first to strike and score with freshman Averie Hike. This would be her only shot of the day and first collegiate points. 
  • However, it did not take long for the Norse to respond. In the seventy-fifth minute, the score became tied after a shot by Luther hit the net. 
  • The score remained tied for the remainder of the match with steady defense by both teams.

The Black and Gold are back Thursday at home against Dordt University. This will be the last non-conference game for the Prairie Wolves. The game is set for Sept. 28 at 7:00 PM in Abel Stadium.
