Lewis & Clark

  • On the last day of the Pacific Coast Classic, the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team defeated Lewis and Clark College (25-18, 25-16, 25-17) to complete their second consecutive sweep.
  • The opening set began with back-and-forth action between Lewis & Clark and NWU, who were knotted at four. With a four-point outburst, the Prairie Wolves broke the tie and took the lead, 8-4. Lewis & Clark was forced to take a timeout as the Black & Gold increased their lead in the first set (10-5). Addie Thomas' kill gave NWU the opening set victory, 25-18.
  • Jaclyn Riedl's rapid two-point run, which included a kill and an ace, caused the Pioneers to take their first timeout in set two (10-4). The teams swapped scores, but NWU kept an 18-13 advantage. They went on an 8-3 run to end the set (25-16), doubling their lead to 2-0.
  • At 15-9, the Prairie Wolves quickly took control of the third set and forced a Lewis & Clark timeout.  The teams traded points in the latter stages, but Nyah Chambers' service ace secured the program's second straight victory (25-17).
