RIPON, Wis. - This week, Nebraska Wesleyan will travel another time as they compete in the 2023 Red Hawks Invitational in Ripon, Wisconsin, against Carroll, Wisconsin Lutheran, Maranatha Baptist, and Ripon College. The Prairie Wolves (5-3) will start the tournament on Friday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. against the Pioneers (3-4) before playing Wisconsin Lutheran (1-6) at 7 p.m. the same day. The Sabercats (3-1) and Ripon College (5-3) are Nebraska Wesleyan's opponents on Saturday, Sept. 16. The first game is at 10 a.m. on Sept. 16.

A WEEK IN REVIEW
- In the North Central Invitational, which was held at North Central College, Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball concluded the weekend with a 2-2 record after sweeping the Scots of Monmouth to open the tournament. (25-17, 25-11, 25-22).
- With 15 kills and an overall hitting percentage of .519 for Nebraska Wesleyan, Addie Thomas headed the offense.
- Molly Ramirez finished with ten kills, followed by Jaclyn Riedl with nine kills. The Prairie Wolves' Elecea Saathoff sent out 36 assists, and Aliah Clarke contributed two blocks, which was a team best.
- In the second game of the competition, the Prairie Wolves faced North Central and lost to the Cardinals in three sets (13-25, 18-25, 19-25).
- With seven kills and an ace of serve, Addie Thomas led the Prairie Wolves.
- Molly Ramirez finished with seven kills as well, followed by Aliah Clarke and Jaclyn Riedl who each recorded four kills a piece.
- Thomas and Nyah Chambers chipped in two blocks each.
- The Prairie Wolves met Elmhurst in the competition's third game and were defeated by the Bluejays in three sets (26-26, 19-25, 15-25).
- The Prairie Wolves were led by Addie Thomas, who had 14 kills and a service ace.
- Jaclyn Riedl finished with five kills, followed by Molly Ramirez who recorded three.
- Aliah Clarke and Elecea Saathoff both contributed a block.
- During the final match of the competition, the Prairie Wolves won a five set match against Greenville (26-24, 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-8)
- Addie Thomas led the offense for Nebraska Wesleyan with 22 kills and a .169 overall hitting percentage.
- Jaclyn Riedl finished with 14 kills, followed by Molly Ramirez with 12 kills. Elecea Saathoff dished out 55 assists, and the team-best seven blocks came from Aliah Clarke.
HISTORY VS. CARROLL
- The Prairie Wolves and Pioneers will be facing off for the second time, and it will be their first meeting in six years.
- On October 17, 2017, Nebraska Wesleyan faced Carroll, and the Pioneers prevailed in four sets (24-25, 14-25, 25-20, 23-25) in the North Central Invitational in Naperville, Illinois.
- Carroll enters the contest with a 3-4 record.
HISTORY VS. WISCONSIN LUTHERAN
- The Prairie Wolves and Warriors have only ever met once in the history of the program. In the series, Nebraska Wesleyan is ahead 1-0.
- In their most recent meeting, which took place in Colorado Springs in 2006, the Prairie Wolves defeated the Warriors in three sets (30-24, 30-22, 30-22).
- Wisconsin Lutheran enters this weekend's competition with a record of 1-6; most recently, they competed in the WLC Quadrangular where they lost all three games.
HISTORY VS. MARANATHA BAPTIST
- For the third time ever, the Prairie Wolves and Sabercats will go head-to-head.
- Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Maranatha Baptist on September 9, 2006, in Winona, Minnesota, after three sets (30-21, 30-18, and 30-20).
- Maranatha Baptist has a 3-1 record going into the tournament.
HISTORY VS. RIPON
- In the history of the programs, the Prairie Wolves and Red Hawks have never faced off.
- With a 5-3 record going into this weekend's contest, Ripon most recently participated in the Mount Mary Blue Angel Bash where they won all four games.
