Baseball Suffers 5-3 Loss to California Lutheran

HOW IT HAPPENEDĀ 
  • In the fourth game of their California road trip, the Nebraska Wesleyan baseball team fell 5-3 to California Lutheran.
  • After three scoreless innings, Cal Lutheran broke open the scoring in the fourth.Ā 
  • The KingsmenĀ grew their lead to 5-0 with runs in the fifth and seventh innings.Ā 
  • The Prairie Wolves respondedĀ in the eighth with two runs. The first run came on an Evan Kling ground out that scored Hunter Zielasko. Then, John HaimowitzĀ grounded out and Kaleb Knox scored.Ā 
  • In the ninth, Nebraska Wesleyan cut the lead to two on an Alex Angele RBI single. Following this RBI, the Prairie Wolf bats went cold and Cal Lutheran secured the victory.Ā 
  • Bryson Knapp pitched five strong innings and gave up just one earned run on five hits.Ā
