Stellar Shooting Lifts Men's Basketball Past Loras

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball team defeated Loras College 84-74 on the road on Saturday thanks to a dominant offensive performance and a career-high 34 points from sophomore Peter Lash.
  • With their third consecutive road victory, Nebraska Wesleyan improves to 15-8 overall and 10-4 in American Rivers play.
  • With the game tied at 39 going into the break, Lash came out firing in the second half draining four three-pointers. His first three-pointer of the second half gave the Prairie Wolves a 44-43 lead with 16:39 left in the game. Nebraska Wesleyan controlled the lead for the remaining of the game. 
  • Lash led the Prairie Wolves with 34 points, while Carter Glenn added 11 points and seven assists. The Prairie Wolves shot 53.6% from the field and 54.5% from three. NWU outscored Loras 11-6 off turnovers and 32-22 in the paint. 
  • With the win, Nebraska Wesleyan completed the season sweep of Loras.
