Men's Basketball Extends Winning Streak to Five Games

HOW IT HAPPENED    

  • The Prairie Wolves finished the UW-Oshkosh Classic with a win over the University of Wisconsin-Stout Saturday afternoon. Peter Lash led the team with 18 points, with Jack Groeteke chipping in 17, and Carter Glenn contributing 15. 
  • NWU initiated their offensive dominance with an 11-0 run at the beginning of the game. The Black and Gold maintained their lead and headed in the locker room with a 39-30 lead.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan began the second half on a 12-6 run. Shooting at an impressive 76.9% from the line, NWU continued to secure crucial points down the stretch.  
  • A layup by Elijah Thatch sealed the victory for the Prairie Wolves over the Blue Devils, 76-64.
  • The Prairie Wolves head into the new year with a record of 9-2 and extend their winning streak to five games. 
  • Junior, Peter Lash continues to improve as the season progresses. Lash has led the Prairie Wolves the past four games in scoring and has averaged 20.5 ppg and 9.7 reb over winter break for Nebraska Wesleyan.
