HOW IT HAPPENED  

• Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball claimed victory over the Norse of Luther College on Saturday afternoon, 65-57.
• The Norse initiated the scoring, with the Prairie Wolves swiftly responding as Jack Groeteke secured the first points for the Black and Gold. The Norse capitalized on two fast breaks resulting in them taking the 2-8 lead.
• The Black and Gold displayed offensive determination in the first half. Two consecutive three-pointers by Peter Lash propelled the Prairie Wolves, narrowing their deficit to 18-19.  
• While Nebraska Wesleyan didn't manage to take the lead in the first half, a pivotal layup by Conner Brown ensured they remained competitive. As Coach Wellman's sqaud began the second half, they trailed by one, with the score at 31-32.   
• A three-pointer from Carter Glenn, coupled with a layup from Landon Torneten, moved the game to 40 a piece. From that point onward, the back and forth scoring game began but it ultimately came down to free throws. Nebraska Wesleyan ended the second half shotting 81.25% from the line. 
• With 9:01 remaining in the game, a successful free throw by Conner Brown gave the Black and Gold the advantage at 51-49. The Prairie Wolves maintained their momentum, consistently making shots down the stretch, securing a 7-point lead with just 17 seconds remaining. 
• Landon Torneten sealed the Prairie Wolves' victory with a free throw, securing the Black and Gold's triumphant 65-57 win over the Norse.
