Men's Soccer Ends Their Regular Season with a Victory Over Bethel University

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Alex Kohler initiated the Prairie Wolves' early momentum by scoring a goal at the 9:52-minute mark. 
  • Zach McClanathan and Wil Tobaben combined for a double assist, leading to a goal by Thomas Pisasale, extending the Black and Gold's lead to 2-0. 
  • Shortly after, the Royals ended their offensive drought by scoring at the 20:41 mark, resulting in a score of 2-1. 
  • During the second half, Bethel University scored an own goal at the 56:22 mark, which allowed the Prairie Wolves to take a 3-1 lead. 
  • Nick Brickman capped it off for the Prairie Wolves with a goal at the 68:35 mark. 
  • The Prairie Wolves secured the victory over Bethel University 4-1, allowing the Black and Gold to remain undefeated on home turf. 
  • Nebraska Wesleyan has achieved a double-digit winning season for the first time since 2017, marking the second occurrence in the past 15 years.

  •  "It was a great performance to end our home season here. You know, going into the game we didn't know if we'd get any more games, so it was a fantastic way to see out the senior class at home." 
  •  "It puts us at double digit wins for the first time since 17 and only the second time in 15 years. So, it's a really good step for the guys in the program." 
  • "We're all together as a team and this team as a full 34 is unbelievable."
