Box Score HOW IT HAPPENED

• On Thursday night, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team (16-6, 5-0 A-R-C) swept Central (18-6, 2-3 A-R-C) 3-0 in Pella, Iowa. NWU was paced by junior outside hitter Addie Thomas, who had 13 kills and hit .303.
• It didn't take long for NWU to get off to a fast start in the opening set, as Rayna Cain's team went on a 4-2 run early on. The Prairie Wolves then kept the pedal to the metal, increasing their advantage to 13-7. NWU's effective offense was too much for Central to overcome, as Thomas and Jaclyn Riedl combined for all 11 kills in the set. The Prairie Wolves took the first set, 25-15. 
• Central was even with the Prairie Wolves at the start of set two, but Elecea Saathoff's 7-0 service run, which included a service ace, forced the Dutch to take their first timeout at 17-11. NWU won the second set, 25-13.
• NWU got off to a fast start in the third set, taking an early 7-3 lead.  Molly Ramirez's excellent service run, which caused three consecutive Dutch errors, increased the advantage to 10-5.  NWU won set three, 25-19, and the match, 3-0, thanks to a service ace from Saathoff and a kill by Ramirez.
• For the seventeenth time this season, Thomas had ten plus kills. Thomas also had a match-high 11 digs.
• Saathoff led the team with 27 assists.
