Women's Soccer Wins First Conference Game with a Clean Sheet

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Nebraska Wesleyan put down a clean sheet against Buena Vista University, winning 3-0 on home turf.
  • Both teams remained scoreless for a majority of the first period. Freshman Averie Hike put an end to the drought and scored the first goal in the forty-second minute with the help of Kaeding Rassfeld
  • In the fifty-fifth minute, Aniaya Reed and Amanda Olivas each recorded a goal off of an assist from the other. This cemented the win for the Black and Gold, giving them their first conference win of the season.
  • Jena Schultz started as goalie for the P-Wolves. She saved one goal and stayed in for 68 minutes before switching with Catthi Pham, who finished out the game and recorded one save of her own.
