Women's Soccer Ends Season with Major Effort on Senior Day

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer closed the 2023 season with a contested loss to Central College on Senior Day, 1-2.
  • The Dutch started off strong in the first period as they broke passed the NWU back line and took the early lead, 0-1. 
  • Lexi Jantzen tried to come up with a goal of her own late in the first period, but was unable to find the right corner of the net. 
  • In the fifty-seventh minute, Central scored their second and final goal, 0-2.
  • Aniaya Reed brought the P-Wolves one step closer to the Dutch off of an assist from Lauren Keith, 1-2.
  • Goalie Jena Schultz played for all ninety minutes, making four saves and allowing two goals.
