Men's Soccer Faces a Pair of Tests at Home

LINCOLN, Neb (October 16th, 2023) - Nebraska Wesleyan is set to make its return to Abel Stadium this Wednesday evening as they face off against Buena Vista University. On Saturday, the Prairie Wolves host Central College.

A LOOK AT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN  
The Prairie Wolves are making a return to Abel Stadium after playing their last three games on the road. Over the weekend, the Black and Gold had a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the University of Dubuque. The Prairie Wolves are eager to carry forward their success on their home turf. The Black and Gold holds the eighth position in the American Rivers Conference with a record of 7-3-4. 

A LOOK AT BUENA VISTA UNIVERSITY  
Buena Vista University is welcoming back twenty returning players and has introduced three promising freshmen to their roster for the 2023 season. In the previous season, they finished with a record of 0-15-2, landing in 9th place in the American Rivers Conference. As the 2023 season progresses, Buena Vista holds 9th place in the conference standings with a record of 1-11-3. Their next match against Nebraska Wesleyan will be the Beavers' sixteenth game of the season. 

A LOOK AT THE CENTRAL COLLEGE  
The Dutch are geared up for the 2023 season, boasting a roster comprising twenty-seven returning players and thirteen promising freshmen. In the prior season, Central College achieved a 7th-place ranking in the American Rivers Conference standings. Currently, they hold a 6-6-2 record, placing them in 7th position in the American Rivers Conference standings for the 2023 season. The Dutch are ready to continue their season, with an upcoming match against Coe College scheduled for Wednesday, October 18th.
