HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the third straight game in a row, Coach Dyson's team was the one to find the back of the net first. In the 30th minute of the first period, Lauren Keith scored on a perfectly placed ball from Sabrina Ochterbeck, 1-0.
- The Blue Jays kept Prairie Wolf goalie, Jena Schultz, busy in Sunday's contest. The freshman had three saves in the first period and finished with seven total (career-high).
- Coming out of halftime, Aniaya Reed joined Keith, as she connected on her first goal of the season. Hannah Rhodes was counted with the assist to the sophomore forward, 2-0.
- NWU's defensive line continued to show improvements from a year ago. Westminster attempted seven shots in the second period and none of them split the pipes.
- With Sunday's 2-0 win over Westminster (Mo.), Nebraska Wesleyan moves to 3-0 for the first time since 2019.
