HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cobbers were the first team to get on the board Friday night. Seth Kotzbacher scored on an assist by Edwin Rasidovic, 0-1.
- Nebraska Wesleyan answered back quickly. Thirty-eight seconds later, Alex Kohler took charge and tied the game up at one apiece at the 14:26 minute mark of the first period.
- Freshman Isaac Havemeier joined the fun offensively and found the net for the first time as a Prairie Wolf. The Missouri native used all of his 6-foot 6-inch frame to knock in a header from five yards out, 2-1.
- Concordia (Minn.) didn't go away easily, as they snuck in their second goal of the evening past NWU goalie, Zachary Weis, 2-2.
- To close things out offensively for both teams on the night, with 20 seconds remaining in the first period, Jackson Waldron zipped a ball past the Cobbers' defenseman and goalie and put Nebraska Wesleyan back up, 3-2.
- Defenses for both teams prevailed in the second half. Neither team could get any offense going and the first-period score of 3-2, was held for the remainder of the game.

HEAD COACH BRANDON BONILLA'S COMMENTS
- "That was a wild one again. We have now scored seven goals in two games now and unfortunately also given up quite a few."
- "Going into halftime up 3-2, our main focus was on defense in the second period. We got to have a mentality and grind to finalize games and get them over the finish line."
- "The back line stepped in the second half and the team effort was huge."
- "It has been a really positive weekend so far. We get a day off tomorrow, training on Sunday and back at it on Monday against Concordia University (Texas)."
