Cross Country Competes at Greeno/Dirksen Invite

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The women's 5K race at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite was held on Saturday morning at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska. Junior Gabby Thomas completed the course in 19:32.5 to finish 91st overall.
  • With 262 points, the Prairie Wolves placed twentieth in the women's team standings. With 298 points, the Nebraska Wesleyan men's team also finished twentieth in the team standings.
  • The second Prairie Wolf to cross the line was McKenna Marsh, who finished in 125th place with a time of 20:13.1. Following Marsh, with times of 20:17.7 and 21:24.8, respectively, Claire Kallhoff and Delaney Vacek came in 132nd and 189th. The Prairie Wolves' score was completed by Kate Schoening, who finished in the 199th position in 21:44.8.
  • The Nebraska Wesleyan men were headed by Norbert Weijenberg, who finished 64th with a time of 25:48.2. Grant Reid placed 113th with a time of 26:44.3. Mason Coulter finished in 160th place with a time of 27:30.8, narrowly beating Colby Karr, who did so in 27:34.1. Noah Wheeling finished 193rd with a time of 28:15.
