The next inning, Mason Bennett knocked a home run over the left-field fence to move NWU's lead to 4-1. In the third inning, Haimowitz hit a double then scored off of a single from Noah Unger. A Paul Georget bunt moved Unger over and put himself on base before Aaron Chazin drove in Unger with a single to the right-field gap.

NWU added a pair of runs in the fourth inning to extend its lead to 8-1. Kaleb Knox hit a double then scored off a single from Kling. With the bases loaded, Mason Bennett sent a ball to left field, the sacrifice fly scored Kling. However, Westminster escaped the jam before any more damage could be done.
