Warriors Take Series From Prairie Wolves


CONWAY, Ark. (February 20, 2022) – The Nebraska Wesleyan baseball team dropped its series finale to Hendrix College, 20-4, in Conway, Arkansas. 

The Prairie Wolves looked like they would take game three of the series with an early first inning lead. A Hendrix error in the opening inning allowed Derek Kolbush to score on an Evan Kling fly ball to centerfield. 

After the Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the inning, NWU answered with two runs in top of the second. Another Hendrix error allowed Mason Bennett and Riley Ward to score on a ball hit to centerfield by Ward. The runs made it a one score game until the bottom of the third inning when HC plated four runs.

NWU got on the board in the top of the fourth inning, again off the bat of Ward. A single to center drove in Jason English to cut into the deficit. However, the Warriors offense caught fire and their defense silenced the Prairie Wolf bats the rest of the way.
