Duhawks Too Strong For An NWU Upset

DUBUQUE, Iowa (February 12, 2022) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball fell on the road, 82-49, to Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.

NWU wasn't able to knock off the Duhawks on the road despite a huge performance from Anna Vandenack. Vandenack recorded one of the best games of her season. Vandenack finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds as she had a shooting percentage of 77.8 percent. It is the second most points scored in a game by Vandenack as a Prairie Wolf and her eighth career double-double. The double-double is also Vandenack's fifth of the season.

Delaney Roberts joined Vandenanck with a double-digit scoring effort. Roberts netted 11 points and has 16 games this season with 10 or more points. Loras was able to contain Roberts this game, unlike the first match-up of the season when she recorded 31 points on January 15.

As a team, Nebraska Wesleyan struggled at the three-point line and was held without a three-pointer. From the field, NWU was 34 percent, its best mark over the last four game. Loras had one of the better shooting performances by an opponent this season. LC was 46.9 percent from the field, the third highest by a Prairie Wolf opponent.
