HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The black and gold captured their first lead since the first half with a Walker Andrew free throw at the 1:39 mark of the second half. That lead extended to three with a layup from Peter Lash, 55-52.
  • The two teams traded blows in the closing seconds and were unable to determine a winner before the end of regulation, 57-57.
  • In overtime, Coach Wellman's squad and Dubuque continued to show why they are two of the best in the A-R-C. There were two ties and two lead changes in the five extra minutes.
