Men's Basketball Gets Back on Track Against Westminster (Mo.)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Nebraska Wesleyan defeated Westminster College (Mo.) to earn their fifth win of the season and getting back to .500 on the year. 
  • Peter Lash led the way on both ends of the floor as he was credited with 6 steals and added 21 points on the offensive side. 
  • Walker Andrew and Carter Glenn both scored 16 points. Landon Torneten was the fourth double digit scorer for Coach Wellman's team with 10 points.
  • The Prairie Wolves separated themselves from the Blue Jays by shooting nearly 60% from the field in the second half including 46.67% from behind the three point line in the second half. 
  • Coach Wellman's squad capitalized on the 25 Blue Jay turnovers. The Prairie Wolves scored 35 points off of turnovers. 
  • The Prairie Wolves emptied the bench in the runaway 88-63 victory. The Wesleyan bench outscored the Westminster (Mo.) bench 21-20.
