HOW IT HAPPENED
- The men's and women's cross country teams traveled to compete at the La Crosse Invitational on Saturday. Out of the 28 teams competing, the Prairie Wolf men placed nineteenth, and the women placed fifteenth out of 30.Â
- Grant Reid, who finished 74th overall in the 8K event in 26:28.2, was the male leader. Colby Karr, who finished in 92nd place (26:38.8), and Mason Coulter, who finished in 158th place (27:24.3), completed the top three finishers for NWU.
- Gabby Thomas finished first for the women's team with a time of 26:06.3. Following her was McKenna Marsh (25:25.1) and Thea Siebel (25:10.2).

- "Gabby Thomas and McKenna Marsh both ran very well and led the women. Marsh had a lifetime best time and Thomas ran strong after missing the last meet."
- "With our #1 runner Norbert Weijenberg out with an injury, Grant Reid and Colby Karr both ran lifetime best times to lead the men."
- "With 30+ teams in both races, the fields were huge. 364 finished the women's race and 424 men finished."
UP NEXT
On Saturday, October 29th, both teams will compete in the A-R-C Conference Championships, which is being hosted in Indianola, Iowa.
