Dordt Upends NWU

LINCOLN, Neb. (September 8, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer was upended by Dordt University, 4-0, at Abel Stadium.

The Defenders set the pace early with three first-half goals. NWU wouldn't make it easy for Dordt, as they recorded five shots in the first half. However, the Prairies Wolves couldn't get a shot to fall in the goal.

In the second half, Nebraska Wesleyan again pressed the Defenders with a pair of shots on goal to try to cut into the deficit. But a late goal in the 83rd minute by Dordt provided another insurance goal.

Megan Cooper, Olivia Munroe, and Isabella Dragoo all recorded a shot on goal for NWU. Munroe was credited with a team-best three-shot attempts. Leslie Borges tallied two saves in net for the Prairie Wolves.
