Women’s Soccer Battles No. 17 Loras


LINCOLN, Neb. (September 25, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer fell to No. 17 Loras, 1-0, on Senior Night in Abel Stadium. 

The Duhawks struck first in the match with a first-half goal but would not score the rest of the way. Nebraska Wesleyan held Loras to 18 shots, its lowest output in conference play this season. NWU is just one of four teams to only allow a single goal to Loras.

Leslie Borges tallied eight saves in net for Nebraska Wesleyan. It is Borges's second-most saves in a game this season. Megan Cooper led the Prairie Wolves with two shots. Hannah Ghannam and Olivia Munroe each recorded one shot for NWU.
