Prairie Wolves Stopped On The Road


DUBUQUE, Iowa (October 2, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer fell to Dubuque, 3-0, on the road. 

The Spartans used a first-half goal followed by a pair of goals in the second half to prevent the Prairie Wolves from earning a road win. In the second half, NWU tried to chip away at the lead by outshooting UD, 7-6. Despite holding the shot advantage in the second half, Nebraska Wesleyan didn't find any luck getting one in net. 

Leslie Borges was credited with six saves in the match. Megan Cooper tallied three shots with one shot on goal. Lauren Keith, Kaeding Rassfeld, and Bryce Melis joined Cooper by recording a shot on goal for the Prairie Wolves.
