Men’s Soccer Falls To Loras, Snaps Winning Streak


LINCOLN, Neb. (September 25, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer fell to Loras, 3-0, at Abel Stadium. The loss to the Duhawks snaps the Prairie Wolves two-match winning streak.

The two teams played a scoreless first half. In the opening half, NWU's Zachary Weis recorded five of his game-high six saves. Nebraska Wesleyan also recorded three of its six shots in the first frame.

In the second half, the Duhawks broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 47th minute. They also added goals in the 51st minute and 86th minute. 

Aroque Bryant led Nebraska Wesleyan with one shot on goal. Caleb Vos, Alex Kohler, Jakob Hulquest, and Alex Aguilar each recorded a shot for NWU.

Nebraska Wesleyan travels to Dubuque, Iowa on Saturday, October 2 for a 3:30 p.m. match against the University of Dubuque.
