Men’s Soccer Bested By Dubuque


DUBUQUE, Iowa (October 2, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer fell on the road to Dubuque, 4-1.

The Spartans took an early advantage with goals in the 12th and 16th minute. But the Prairie Wolves would answer back despite being a player down due to a red card in the 12th minute. In the 38th minute, Varun Doshi netted his second goal of the season. Doshi sank the goal off of a pass from Jakob Hulquest. 

In the second half, Dubuque added two more goals and halted the Nebraska Wesleyan attack. The Prairie Wolves offense was held to just one shot in the second half.

Doshi's goal was one of two shots on goal by NWU in the game. Grady Wolver recorded the other shot on goal as Logan Lawrence added a shot. Zach Selph and Zachary Weis combined for 11 saves in goal for the Prairie Wolves.
