BUENA VISTA, Iowa (April 7, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer team (2-2, 2-2 A-R-C) defeated Buena Vista (0-4, 0-4 A-R-C), 3-2. Alex Aguilar sank a goal in the 89th minute of action to secure the victory. It is NWU's 12th consecutive win against the Beavers. 

The two teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half before combining for five goals in 45 minutes. Buena Vista broke the stalemate with a goal in the 52nd minute. NWU's Varun Doshi punched in the equalizer, and his first goal of the year, off of a loose ball in the 66th minute. 

Aroque Bryant put the Prairie Wolves ahead with his first goal of the season as he found the net in the 74th minute. However, the Beavers answered back to tie the game just two minutes later. Nebraska Wesleyan then struck late with the game-winner in the final minute. Aguilar drilled the game-winner off of a cross pass from Bryant. The goal was Aguliar's first of the season as well.
