Prairie Wolves Clipped By Bruins

NEWBERG, Ore. (December 19, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to George Fox University, 79-39, in Newberg, Oregon. The match-up closed out NWU's two-game road trip in the state of Oregon.

Anna Vandenack scored 11 points for the Prairie Wolves. The scoring effort extended Vandenack's streak of scoring in double digits to four consecutive games. This season, Vandenack has scored 10 or more points in six of the eight games Vandenack has played in.

On the defensive end, NWU was credited with four blocked shots in the game, a team-high this season. Three of the blocked shots were by Rhett Partridge. Partridge's three blocks were the most by a Prairie Wolf this season and the most since February 2, 2021. Partridge also collected a game-high seven rebounds, with six of those on the defensive glass.

But NWU had a tough time finding much success on offense. Nebraska Wesleyan shot just 26.7 percent from the field and only made one three-pointer in the contest. The field goal percentage was the lowest by the Prairie Wolves this season. The Bruins's 45.5 shooting percentage and 37.9 three-point percentage, were both the most by a Nebraska Wesleyan opponent this year.
