Boxers Too Much For Women’s Basketball

FOREST GROVE, Ore. (December 18, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to Pacific University, 86-48, in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Pacific University was too much for the Prairie Wolves in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Delaney Roberts and Anna Vandenack combined for 27 points in the game. Roberts scored a team-high 15 points with Vandenack adding 12 points.

Roberts scored in double figures in back-to-back games for NWU and for the sixth time this season. Vandenack's 12 points went with a game-best 10 rebounds. Vandenack recorded a double-double for the second consecutive game and for the fifth time in seven games this season. Going back to last season, Vandenack has five career double-doubles as a Prairie Wolf.

The Boxers held a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. NWU was held to just 30 percent shooting from the three-point arc as Pacific hit 37.5 percent of its three-pointers, the highest allowed by Nebraska Wesleyan this season. Pacific is also the only team to shot 46.3 percent or better from the field against the Prairie Wolves this season.
