Women’s Soccer Shoots Past Buena Vista

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 6, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer snapped a five-game losing skid with a 3-0 win over Buena Vista at Abel Stadium.

The Prairie Wolves wasted very little time ending a five-game scoring drought. Megan Cooper netted a goal just four minutes into the game. The goal was Cooper's second of the season. NWU added a second goal just three minutes before halftime. Anden Baumann drilled a shot off of a pass from Camila Munoz. It was Baumann's first goal of the season and Munoz's second assist of the year.

In the second half, Isabel Dragoo added a goal in the 82nd minute off of a pass from Morgan Finley. For Dragoo, it was the first goal of the season and also the first assist of the season for Finley.

The Prairie Wolves' offense was on display throughout the game. Nebraska Wesleyan was credited with 25 shots, 16 coming in the first half, and outshot BVU 25-8 in the game. Defensively, Leslie Borges earned the shutout and recorded three saves. It is the third shutout of the season by NWU's backline.
