NWU Earns Shutout Win At Coe


CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (October 16, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer team shutout Coe College, 1-0, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is NWU's fourth shutout win of the season. 

The Prairie Wolves controlled the Kohawks the entire match. Sabrina Ochterbeck put Nebraska Wesleyan on the board in the 35th minute. Ochterbeck netted the goal on a pass from Hannah Ghannam. For Ochterbeck, it was the third goal of the season. 

NWU's backline limited Coe to just one shot in the first half and three in the second-half. On offense, Nebraska Wesleyan took six shots in the victory, including four in the second-half.

Ghannam and Kaeding Rassfeld both took two shots for the Prairie Wolves. Leslie Borges was credited with two saves in the victory.
