LINCOLN, Neb. – The top two seeds in the American Rivers Conference will meet on Saturday night (Feb. 29) in the A-R-C Men's Basketball Postseason Tournament Championship game with No. 1 seed Nebraska Wesleyan hosting No. 2 seed Coe College at 7 pm in Snyder Arena.
Saturday night's winning team will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA III Men's Basketball National Tournament.
Nebraska Wesleyan has won two straight conference postseason tournaments, both at home in Snyder Arena. Coe is playing in their first conference title game since 2012 and going for their first title in program history.
The Prairie Wolves (23-3) defeated the Kohawks (17-9) both times during the regular season, but both games were decided by only six points. They were the only two games during the conference season that were decided by 10 points or less for the Prairie Wolves.
NWU defeated Simpson 91-77 in the A-R-C Tournament semifinals on Thursday night, shooting 60% from the floor in the second half. Coe won 103-75 over Wartburg in their semifinal matchup, the first time the Kohawks scored over 100 points since their season opening victory over Grinnell. The Kohawks are on a five-game winning streak.
