MOORHEAD, Minn. – Concordia College (Minn.) scored four first half goals and that was too much to overcome for the Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer team in a 5-0 setback on Sunday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn.
The loss drops the Prairie Wolves men to 1-2-1 overall on the season as they split matches over the weekend in Minnesota.
Nate Weaver had a pair of goals and assisted on another one for the Cobbers in the first half, all in the first 30 minutes of the match. NWU was unable to recover and the Prairie Wolves never could get track against Concordia-Moorhead who improves to 3-0-0.
They added another goal on a header in the second half to score the most goals in regulation against the Prairie Wolves since 2014.
Concordia finished with 14 shot attempts, including nine on goal while the Prairie Wolves were only able to get off three shot attempts.
NWU looks to get back on track on Wednesday (Sept. 11) when they travel to Kansas to face Sterling College.
