LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan made quick work of Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon sweeping past the Wildcats 3-0 on day two of the Prairie Wolf Volleyball Invite at Snyder Arena.
NWU won the match in scores of 25-8, 25-17, 25-19 to improve to 9-4 on the season as they won both matches on the weekend to begin their homestand. Johnson & Wales went 0-3 on the weekend and now has a 2-13 overall record.
The Prairie Wolves had 10 service aces in the match, with
Kelsie Stovall and
Kennady Klein each recording four aces. Besides the 10 reception errors, the Wildcats also had 19 attack errors and eight service errors giving the Prairie Wolves 27 points.
Hannah Bellinghausen had a big day for the Prairie Wolves with 11 kills and no errors to hit .611 in the match.
Cora Svoboda added nine kills hitting .353, while
Nyah Chambers added four kills and four blocks.
Nebraska Wesleyan has already matched their win total from one year ago. They have their first American Rivers Conference home match on Thursday night when they host Central College.
