LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan extended their winning streak to five straight with a dominant 12-0 victory over Nebraska Christian College in men's soccer action on Friday afternoon (Sept. 27) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.
NWU scored six goals in each half playing against the Sentinels of Nebraska Christian who compete in the NCCCAA.
Nolan Dillon scored four goals with two assists in the match after earning Conference Player of the Week honors last week. Dillon remains the conference leader in goals with 12 on the season. He had three of his goals in the opening nine minutes of the match, including the opener just 19 seconds in.
Alex Drent also got into the scoring with a hat trick of his own scoring three goals on four shot attempts. All three of his goals came in the second half in the final 13 minutes.
Jackson McGowan added two goals in the match with
Aroque Bryant,
Tanner Wood and
Royce Austen scoring the other Prairie Wolves goals.
NWU ended the match with 37 total shot attempts, compared to only one for NCC.
The Prairie Wolves now prepare to open American Rivers Conference play next week.
