NWU had their first two batters of the game reach base and score to start what would be a common theme of the day with Prairie Wolves crossing the plate.  Riley Ward drove in the first run with a single, then Spencer Scheer also had an RBI single in the inning.

In the 2nd inning, Kaleb Knox hit an RBI double to highlight three runs that came across the plate.

Aaron Nichols had the biggest hit of the game when he blasted a 3-run home run in the 3rd inning.  Knox had another RBI double in the inning to make the score 9-1.

Hayden Parker controlled the Buena Vista hitters going seven innings allowing one earned run and four hits.  Parker struck out eight and walked none to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Four different Prairie Wolves had multi-hit games on the afternoon.  Ward was 2-4 with two RBI, Scheer was 2-5 with an RBI, Knox went 2-4 hitting two doubles with an RBI and Evan Gellatly was 2-3 with a double and RBI in his first game back returning from injury.
