Women Drop Five Matches on Spring Trip

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis team dropped all five matches on their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina from March 11-16.
 
NWU lost three matches to Gettsyburg College, University of Mount Union and Berry College (Ga.) by the score of 9-0, dropped am 8-1 decision to Westminster College (Pa.) and fell 6-3 to Greenville University.
 
The Prairie Wolves drop to 2-12 on the season after the trip to Hilton Head where the team was playing short handed due to a smaller roster.
 
After opening the trip with the 9-0 loss to Gettysburg, NWU did manage to get one win in a 8-1 loss to Westminster College of Pennsylvania.  Kailey Kissler won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for the only Prairie Wolves win of the day.
 
The most competitive match was on March 15 against Greenville where NWU fell 6-3.  Shea Swanson and Kissler joined together at No. 1 doubles to post a 8-7 victory.  Madi Hinshaw and Han Le also earned an 8-7 victory in doubles action at the No. 2 spot.  Greenville was able to win all six of the singles matches.
 
Nebraska Wesleyan is next scheduled to play on March 21 at home against Concordia University.
