Norse Hand NWU Women Third Straight Loss

DECORAH, Iowa – Nebraska Wesleyan dropped their third straight conference match on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 setback at Luther College in American Rivers Conference women's soccer action.
 
The Prairie Wolves are now 11-4 overall, 2-3 in conference play after starting the season 11-1.  NWU drops all the way to sixth place in the league standings with three matches remaining.  The top six teams qualify for the American Rivers postseason tournament.
 
Once again the Prairie Wolves could not get their offense going being held without a goal for a third straight match.
 
McKenzie Lundquist scored a goal in the 25th minute for Luther College and that proved to be the only goal of the match. 
 
Luther outshot NWU 12-5 overall limiting the Prairie Wolves to only two shot attempts in the second half.  Four of the five NWU shots were on goal, however they continue to struggle to find the back of the net.
 
Nebraska Wesleyan returns home on Wednesday looking to turn things around when they host Buena Vista University at Abel Stadium.
