Wolves Prepare For Tough Road Test at Illinois Wesleyan

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan football team will make their first road trip of the 2017 season this Saturday (Sept. 9) when they travel east to Bloomington, Illinois to face Illinois Wesleyan University.  Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and the Titans is set for 1 pm at historic Tucci Stadium.

NWU faces a tough test in their initial road trip as the Prairie Wolves take on 14th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan.  The Titans entered into the rankings this week after they upset No. 3 Wisconsin-Whitewater 17-10 in their first game.

The Prairie Wolves are looking to bounce back from their season opening 34-14 loss to Concordia College (Minn.).  NWU was troubled by turnovers in that contest committing six in the game, including four in the first half.

Last season, the two teams met for the first time at Abel Stadium with Illinois Wesleyan rallying to earn a 17-13 victory.

This weekend's trip is the first time a NWU football team has ever played a game in the state of Illinois.

Fans not traveling to Illinois can listen to the game locally on KFOR 1240 AM or 103.3 FM as they will be getting a feed courtesy of WJBC radio.
